Milford, MA - The landscape of mental health and addiction treatment in MetroWest Massachusetts is about to receive a significant enhancement with the upcoming launch of Brave Path Recovery. Located at 321 Fortune Blvd., Suite 270, the new facility is designed to address the complex needs of individuals facing dual diagnosis, where mental health conditions and substance use disorders co-occur. By integrating treatment for both conditions simultaneously, Brave Path Recovery aims to provide a comprehensive approach that fosters sustainable healing and long-term resilience.
Founded by Damien Trites, whose personal experiences with loss and resilience inspired the creation of the center, Brave Path Recovery is built on a foundation of empathy, dignity, and respect. The mission is deeply personal, driven by the memory of the mother of his son, whose struggles highlighted the urgent need for better, more compassionate support systems. The center's philosophy emphasizes that recovery extends beyond mere abstinence; it is about rebuilding the mind, body, and spirit through clinical excellence, accountability, and holistic practices.
"At Brave Path Recovery, we don't promise an easy road, but we promise honesty, support, and unwavering belief that transformation is possible," says Damien Trites, Founder of Brave Path Recovery. "We meet people where they are and walk with them forward, step by step, on their own brave path. Our goal is to treat every person not as a diagnosis, but as a human being worthy of hope and healing."
The facility will offer two primary levels of structured outpatient care designed to fit around clients' lives. The Part-Time Day Treatment program, meeting three to four days a week, provides essential clinical support while allowing individuals to maintain work and family commitments. For those requiring more intensive care, the Full-Time Day Treatment program runs five days a week, serving as an ideal step-down from inpatient treatment or for those needing daily structure. Both programs incorporate peer-supported group therapy, one-on-one coaching, trauma work, and holistic practices such as meditation and yoga.
In addition to traditional clinical therapies, Brave Path Recovery will feature unique signature experiences aimed at building confidence and joy in recovery. These include adventure therapy, equine-assisted therapy, jiu-jitsu and boxing classes, gardening, and sober traveling excursions. These experiential learning opportunities are designed to challenge clients, help them discover healthy passions, and build a strong, supportive community. The center will accept most major insurance plans and aims to facilitate same-week admissions to ensure timely access to care.
